I'm with you there! It was horrible. I thought it was a joke at first, because the paper was citing 'unconfirmed sources,' but as the day went on, it turned out to be true. My heart just aches for his family. My brother was really upset.

It was all over the news here too - all the Belgian channels, and was the #1 story on BBC world and CNN. Wow, such an impact, it is going to be one of those 'where were you the day princess dianna died' type of things. Very sad news.

When my son told me the news, I didn't want to believe him...I turned on the television and saw the reports...I was in shock! He was so loved and will certainly be missed.

Yes...I found it very difficult to get my head around this sad tragedy also. I know I shed tears. He will be missed. His zest for life was contagious. Steve Irwin was a 'one off'...genuine...a good person. I feel for his family. He did, however, live every moment to its fullest. Crocs Rule...crikey! Rest in peace, Steve.
