I went for a drive yesterday (day off) and ended up spending the night camping in Ravenswood as it was getting pretty late after visiting Burdekin Falls Dam and Ravenswood. Had a great time and am now exhausted. Will talk about it later but, in the meantime, here are a few random pics of what I saw.

And yes, that is my tyre, covered in bulldust and flat!!

Did you pass the test with flying colours ... change the tyre, I mean?

Great photos - looking forward to clarification on a couple, such as what is that behind the wire mesh?

I went to Ravenswood for an Environmental Law excursion. Love, love, love how the place oozes history! Beautiful photos, Tanya.

Oh, and Alice, the wire mesh photo is of a sugar cane train, full and ready to take the cut cane to the mill. What a fantastic smell, the smell of molasses! My husband hates it, but when I smell it I am eight again :)

Tanya, what great pictures. I love seeing the kangaroos and how neat that they run wild everywhere. We have bears, but they hide...we have deer & elk, but they hide. Everything hides, but your kangaroos are so visible.

I was also going to ask about what was behind the wire mesh, but that's already been answered. The picture looks very interestingly mysterious...like an enclosure. But, I know it's a train.

I still can't change a flat tyre. I know how, but I can't loosen the bolts of lugnuts as they are called. Maybe I can now, since I have gained so much weight...I can just stand on the wrench. *LOL*

Great pics. shame about the flat! Did you change it, have help or look helpless on the side of the road and help came riding up on a white horse!!???

Terrific pictures and such a different scenery from what I'm used to in my little corner of the world:-) I can't get over how there are kangaroos showing themselves everywhere!! Ugh, what bad luck to get a flat tire.

Well, you had quite an adventure! you have to admit, the flat added an interesting twist to the story :) (even though it was a pain in the patoot).
Great pictures....you did good! I especially like the sugar cane train and I LOVE the gumnuts. Reminds me of reading Snugglepot and Cuddlepie as a kid. I still have that book!
